This She-E-O energy boosting smoothie is one of our favorites as it is filled with energy boosting ingredients that help fuel your day so you can tackle everything on your “to-do list” efficiently!
- 1 cup spinach
- 1 banana
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- 1 tablespoon almond butter
- 1 teaspoon honey
1. Place all ingredients in a blender.
2. Blend until smooth and creamy.
3. Pour into a glass and enjoy your She-E-O energy boosting smoothie!
Spinach- Leafy greens are always a go to addition for our smoothies as they add extra vitamins and minerals that are essential for our bodies to run well! Spinach is full of magnesium, with one cup giving you a whopping dose of 24mg. Magnesium is vital for our bodies and helps with energy metabolism as well as boosts your immune system and helps to maintain blood pressure.
If you don’t like spinach, don’t worry! When added to a smoothie, you can’t even tell it’s in there. Working parents like many on our team? Here’s a hack…make your kid’s smoothies/yogurt pouches and add spinach, they will never know!
Banana- Want to feel FULL of energy? Add a banana (or even a half of a banana) to your smoothie for added nutrients and fibers that will help fuel your body. Bananas are a great source of potassium and when eaten alone or added to a smoothie, can make for a great quick snack to boost energy.
Almond Milk- When you are shopping for almond milk, be sure to purchase it unsweetened as you don’t want all the added sugars, especially in a smoothie.
Unsweetened almond milk offers energy boosting ingredients such as vitamin D and phosphorus, so it is a great addition to your energy boosting smoothie!
Almond Butter- We love to add almond butter to our smoothies because it not only gives it a creamy texture, but it is packed with fiber, so you feel full and energized even longer!
Honey- Last, but certainly not least, adding a sweetener will be the cherry on top to a delicious, energy packed smoothie. Honey is our go-to, especially when you can find local RAW honey.
Raw honey is not stripped of its’ nutrients and is a great source of carbs which will give you quick energy.
So, there you have it! A healthy, nutrient packed smoothie that will boost your energy levels and keep you fueled throughout the day. Eating a well-balanced diet that is filled with vitamins and minerals is so important to your overall health and will help you work more efficiently during the day.
Remember: sharing recipes that are healthy and packed full of nutrients is such a great way to spread the importance of health and wellness to your audience. You never know who is watching and looking at your content, so providing value and giving your viewers healthy recipes is a great option!
